The host of Counter-Strike 2 tournaments, James BanKs Banks, said that according to rumors, a certain Chinese company can pay off all the debts that the tournament organizer FISSURE has accumulated to the teams. Banks spoke about this in a video on the All About Counter-Strike YouTube channel.

FISSURE Playground #5 was almost 100% cancelled. Because, obviously, you need to cooperate with a Chinese company [due to laws in China - approx. ed. ]. This Chinese company is going to pay off the debts that FISSURE has, which, by the way, is great for the teams. But I don't understand why, from a business perspective, you think it's a good idea to pay off other people's debts. .org has the following VRS projections listed: Spirit, Falcons, 9z, but none of those teams will show up. The teams had already decided which tournaments they would go to, and everyone thought that this one was cancelled. So the tournament will still take place, but it will be attended mainly by teams not included in the VRS ranking, which may agree to participate.

Earlier, a rumor appeared on the Internet that FISSURE had arrears in paying prize money to participants in CS2 championships. 15 teams did not receive payments, including Team Falcons, G2 Esports and Astralis. In March, TO canceled several tournaments.
