3DMAX stretched out an early lead after winning the pistol on Dust2, exploiting MOUZ 's new B anchor, Oldřich "PR" Nový , en route to a 4-0 start. It has been a positive start to Johnny "JT" Theodosiou 's era in charge of Liquid . The Americas team, which also added Georgi "Jorko" Mitev as an AWPer in the off-season, surpassed all expectations in the online stage of BLAST Bounty as it moved past Vitality and G2 without dropping a map.
Liquid now face another tough test in the form of Spirit , the red-hot favorites for the trophy.
If Liquid lose today, they will travel to Stockholm on Friday to compete at Stake Pulse Beat, a tier-2 LAN with a $60,000 prize purse.
We are down to the last eight teams in BLAST Bounty Season 2. After two rounds of online matches, the remaining teams will now duke it out in Malta for the first notable trophy of the season.
