Cake spoke about problems in Valve games using CS as an example

Streamer Kirill Cake Zabrodin criticized Valve's approach to supporting games using CS2 as an example. The content maker shared his thoughts during a broadcast on Twitch.

I have said many times: Valve is the worst company in terms of monitoring its games, its ecosystem. Look [at] CS. Imagine that these guys from FACEIT are not there, who have essentially taken over CS. Just imagine for a second that they are not there. Who would even play this [nonsense] in CS, where they simply don’t monitor [at all]: there are only cheaters, there is always some kind of [nonsense] in the public pages. Without FACEIT this game simply does not exist. Just out of love for the game, the community and some business enthusiasts simply built and saved the game. But in fact it’s just [nonsense]. Look what’s in the public pages, it’s [a nightmare]. You can do a challenge: I’ll find a cheater in an hour [for fucks sake], go to CS and find ten of them. [Question: “What about CS tourists?”] There wouldn’t be any CS tourists if people had nowhere to play. Only thanks to FACEIT does this all live. Imagine that s1mple [plays] matches in public, where cheaters constantly [beat] him, how will he even play this game?

Cake also noted a problem in another Valve game, Dota 2. He believes that the developers stopped working on the title, including matchmaking, which is why there was too much of a gap between gamers on the ladder.

Zabrodin also expressed dissatisfaction with the rating system itself in MOBA, in which a user with a higher rank receives the same number of points for defeating a weaker opponent as a weaker one for defeating a superior opponent. However, Valve later partially influenced the situation by softly resetting MMR.
