FaZe grab semi-final berth over The MongolZ

A comeback from 3-12 down on Nuke helped FaZe secure a second semi-final appearance since the signing of JBOEN.

FaZe are through to the semi-finals of BLAST Bounty Season 2 by virtue of a 2-1 victory over The MongolZ , securing wins on Nuke (16-12) and Ancient (13-8) either side of a defeat on Mirage (7-13).

The MongolZ will be left ruing a missed opportunity on Nuke, as they were leading the map 12-3 at one point only to let FaZe mass 13 rounds in a row to complete a miraculous comeback.

Meanwhile FaZe continue to seem like a team renewed by the signing of Jason "⁠JBOEN⁠" Boe Nielsen , as their new AWPer once again topped the scoreboard across the series and was particularly vital on the decider of Ancient.

Nuke was a tale of two CT sides, The MongolZ 's trio of Zolbayar "⁠tikuak⁠" Chimedtseren , Dugarsuren "⁠DarkMeister⁠" Ireedui and Usukhbayar "⁠910⁠" Banzragch powering their team's first-half effort before Jakub "⁠jcobbb⁠" Pietruszewski , JBOEN and David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský dominated the second half, sending the map to OT.

FaZe took the advantage of starting on defense in OT and ran with it, posting a perfect 3-0 CT side before Ryan "⁠Neityu⁠" Aubry clutched up to secure the map and a spectacular 13-round comeback run.

bLitz aces against low buy to keep MongolZ cruising on Mirage

The MongolZ answered back with a confident performance on Mirage, Garidmagnai "⁠bLitz⁠" Byambasuren and tikuak driving their powerful T-side to a 9-3 lead before a cosmetic FaZe comeback in the second half was put to bed.

Ancient was ultimately a comfortable day at the office for FaZe . JBOEN produced two big moments in man-down scenarios to put his team in control on their offense, which they carried through to a 9-3 halftime lead.

JBOEN helps turn 2v4 with triple

The MongolZ grabbed a second-round force-buy win to kick off the second half with a glimmer of hope, their up-tempo offense catching FaZe napping a couple of times, but a couple of JBOEN multi-kills settled the defense and ensured FaZe booked a semi-final spot.
