Liquid's AWPer says he enjoys lifting the team's mood.
The new-look Liquid had a great start to the season by taking down Vitality and G2 in BLAST Bounty's online stage, but Spirit proved too much to handle on LAN.
Despite that, Georgi "Jorko" Mitev remains upbeat about the team's debut, saying he would rate it "10 out of 10."
He also spoke about his individual performance, their upcoming Stake Ranked campaign, and his noisemaker antics .
First of all, commiserations on the loss. But given the caliber of opponent, I guess you can find some positives in today's performance?
Overall, I think the rounds were pretty close, it just came down to individual macros. Maybe I overpeeked a bit in some situations. Maybe I played a little bit too fast. But overall, I think we were on the same page most of the time, and the rounds were pretty close.
This is your first event, and you took down Vitality, G2, but you didn't take down Spirit. It's definitely a good debut for the squad and a lot of VRS points. How do you rate your first three games in the Liquid jersey?
Honestly, I'm very happy. 10 out of 10.
Today, you had a great Dust 2 especially, but the whole series was very good. How do you feel about the fact that you're able to stack up against a team like Spirit individually?
I mean, I feel good, but I still made a lot of individual macro mistakes that I'm really not too happy about. So I guess I'll have to fix them next time, and maybe I'll have a higher chance to win.
Do you think that that's just something that's going to come with repetition?
Yeah, I would say repetition for sure. And discipline in terms of patience. I really think it comes down to patience. I always want to do something.
And I have to ask about the party popper that you brought with you. JT said that you're a very young guy and that you bring a lot of fresh energy to the squad. How is it being the fun guy among such experienced and seasoned veterans?
I mean, I'm just being myself and that's it. I'm just being myself. I don't really want my teammates to feel tilted, down, or sad. Because those are negative emotions, which I don't really want people to feel. I just try to do my best to make sure that their mind isn't focused on that, and they can just focus on the game.
You're obviously flying to Stockholm now for the Stake event, which will have a much lower level of teams. Are you looking forward to that, and not facing donk?
Of course. I mean, even though they're lower level teams, I still think they're hard to play against. I don't think we should take anything for granted, just be careful, and play our game.
