Liquid make light work of G2 en route to Malta

The new Liquid advanced to the finals without losing a map to Vitality and G2.

Jorko played an impressive debut with Liquid, averaging a 1.29 rating in the online phase Liquid join FaZe as the second team through to the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 finals, taking place in Malta next week (August 30-July 2).

Fresh off of their additions of Johnny "⁠JT⁠" Theodosiou and Georgi "⁠Jorko⁠" Mitev , the new-look squad stunned Vitality in the opener and went on to make light work of G2 in the second round to advance to the LAN phase of the tournament.

After putting up a 1.24 rating in the opening match, Jorko kept up his impressive debut showing with the new team.

The Bulgarian AWPer was a thorn in G2 's side all throughout Mirage, where he and Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski kept disrupting the opposition with picks all around the map.

Before that, a team-wide performance helped Liquid secure a convincing win on Anubis despite losing both pistols.

G2 bow out of the tournament after an unimpressive debut with newest addition Artem "⁠r1nkle⁠" Moroz , who replaced Álvaro "⁠SunPayus⁠" García in the off-season.

The Ukrainian ended the tournament at the bottom of his team with a 0.91 rating as G2 came back from a map behind against Nemiga and went out with a whimper against Liquid , putting up only 11 rounds over two maps.
