Danish esportsman Emil Magisk Reif speculated about which player with AWP deserves the title of the greatest in the history of the Counter-Strike discipline. A BCGame member shared his opinion in an interview on the club’s YouTube channel.

[Question: “Three years ago you called s1mple the greatest sniper of all time, ranking him above device and ZywOo. Has your opinion changed?”] A very difficult question, because now I have played with each of them. I think earlier I would have said that device was a very serious candidate for this title. But then Sasha [s1mple], I think, surpassed him. However, after the year and a half that Vitality spent, I believe that ZywOo is now ahead of everyone. He dominated CS:GO and won absolutely everything already in CS2. I think Sasha still has something to prove in CS2 if he wants to be considered the greatest player of all time. Therefore, right now I would still call ZywOo. He collected a huge number of titles, MVPs and everything else. But if we talk not only about trophies and personal awards, but about the impact on the game and the community, then there is no doubt about it - Sasha is the greatest. I don't think anyone will ever come close to him in terms of influence on the community, the love of the fans and the mark he left. There have been players who may have come close to this level, but no one compares to what Sasha built. And all this also became possible thanks to his achievements. In addition, if we talk about the dispute for the title of the greatest, then, in my opinion, it is not entirely fair. ZywOo may have played on the best team of all time. The same can be said about device. Yes, NAVI were incredibly strong, winning the Major and other tournaments, but it seems to me that they lacked the stability over the long haul to help Sasha build his legacy. Each candidate has its own pros and cons. If we talk exclusively about titles and achievements, then now I would choose ZywOo. But if we are talking about the impact on the game as a whole - of course, s1mple.
