There was a wave of bans on FACEIT - more than 10 thousand accounts were blocked

More than 10.3 thousand profiles have been suspended on FACEIT. 2.2 thousand profiles were blocked for smurfing. As part of the new wave of purges, accounts involved in cheating, multiplayer and toxicity were also affected. Statistics were provided by the platform.

On July 24, FACEIT updated its ban policy. The ban period for cheating, using smurfs, stream sniping, as well as for repeated or targeted insults has been increased. Thus, for using third-party programs, a gamer’s account is now blocked for five years, rather than two years.
