NEO made conclusions about FaZe's decision to kick him

The new coach of the Astralis CS2 roster, Filip NEO Kubski, spoke out after joining the team. Kubski shared his thoughts in an interview for the .org portal.

[Question: “You are now the coach of Astralis. How were the first days with the team?”] It was very nice and fresh to be in a new environment, with different people and characters. I get to know everyone - both people and players. I like what I see. The team has huge potential, of course there is a lot of work ahead, but it’s nice to be back. [Question: “This is only your second team, even though you’ve been coaching for a long time. Is it strange to not be around the FaZe people you’ve worked with for so long, but facing a new challenge?”] I didn’t really feel it until I saw the guys in the FaZe jersey today. That's when it hit me a little. I enjoyed my time at FaZe, I really liked the people around the team and the team itself. Those were good times and I'm glad I had the opportunity to be a part of it. But it's been a few months now, so I guess I've gotten used to the fact that things have changed. Now this is the next step for me.

In addition, Kubski spoke about the feelings after being kicked from FaZe Clan.

Now that some time has passed, how do you look at this decision?”] I can understand this point of view. I don't want to go into too much detail, but the team needed changes, and changing the coach is one of the first steps organizations usually take. It's part of the game, no hard feelings. It is what it is. But I made my conclusions.

Kubski joined Astralis in July. Prior to this, NEO was a mentor for FaZe Clan for three years. The organization parted ways with the coach in March 2026. With him, the team reached the finals of majors three times and won several tier-1 tournaments.

The debut event for Kubski in Astralis was the qualification for BLAST Bounty Summer 2026. The team advanced to the main stage of the event.
