Official: JT takes the reins in Liquid

The South African in-game leader is taking over calling duties after siuhy was moved to the bench.

Liquid have announced the signing of former Bravado , Cloud9 , and Complexity in-game leader Johnny "⁠JT⁠" Theodosiou , confirming the June report from Dust2.us .

The South African in-game leader takes the place of Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek , who was benched on Tuesday after a season in which Liquid averaged among the worst T side win-rates in the entire scene, and only reached the playoffs at BLAST Bounty Season 1 through the online group stage and ended the season with a 2-3 exit from Stage 1 of the IEM Cologne Major.

This move marks the second off-season change for Liquid after the signing of Georgi "⁠Jorko⁠" Mitev to take over the big green in place of Roland "⁠ultimate⁠" Tomkowiak , and reunites the in-game leader with his former Complexity teammate Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski .

During their time together in Complexity , EliGE and JT had several deep runs at notable events with a victory at ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024, a second-place finish at IEM Sydney 2023, and semi-final finishes at ESL Pro League Season 19 and BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023.

JT is set to make his debut during the online portion of BLAST Bounty Season 2 on Friday at 16:00 . As the 30th-seeded team in the tournament, Liquid picked Vitality as an opponent over the other two remaining teams: Falcons and Spirit .

Correction: Liquid will field their starting five at BLAST Bounty, with JT calling the shots and Jorko on the AWP.
