GamerLegion support Danil 'Bignum' Shekhovtsov spoke at the live broadcast of the Esports World Cup 2026 about the team's recent progress, and also compared LAN tournaments with online events.

[You played a lot of tournaments this year. Do you think this has affected your overall playing? Do you think that practicing against top teams did you any good? ] Yes. I would say that we are progressing from tournament to tournament. We are trying our best to show our best result - at least to reach the playoffs.

[ Do you prefer to play online tournaments or on LAN? ] To be honest, there aren't many online tournaments going on these days. Therefore, I probably feel more comfortable playing at LAN events. It's hard to compare because DreamLeague is sort of an online tournament, but the teams still play from a bootcamp.

[ This is true. But then you don't have to look your rivals in the eyes in the hotel. Isn't it better this way? ] I think, to be honest, there is no difference. The players don't really interact with each other anyway.

According to the results of the Esports World Cup 2026, GamerLegion took 17-20th place. You can familiarize yourself with the results of the last tournament in our material.
