Miposhka spoke out after the defeat from Team Yandex in the EWC 2026 playoffs

Team Spirit coach Yaroslav Miposhka Naydenov commented on the team’s defeat in the match against Team Yandex at the Esports World Cup 2026 in Dota 2. He summed up the results of the meeting in a “circle” on the club’s Telegram channel.

Guys, hello everyone. Well, unfortunately, we lost to Team Yandex with a score of 0:2. The series didn't work out a bit. What can I say: in my personal opinion, both maps turned out to be a fairly comfortable draft. The second one is probably a little less comfortable. But in the first one, it’s like I’m just super happy with every pick, just mega. I don’t know, the lines just held up worse than they could. Somewhere there was a lack of understanding of how best to lane, how best to play out certain specific situations. Well, the opponents are simply better. It’s just that today they turned out to be better: they play the map better, make decisions faster, have a better sense of where and how to be, how to push lines, which heroes to attack whom, how to beat objects, and so on. In many ways we are simply left behind. In principle, the second situation is approximately similar. On this note, unfortunately, we are leaving EWC. But we will train and work further. See you, of course, at The International in Shanghai. We will still fight there.

Team Spirit met with Team Yandex in the first round of the EWC 2026 playoffs. Naydenov’s team lost the series with a score of 0:2 and was eliminated from the competition. For Spirit, this is the sixth defeat in a row in matches against Team Yandex.
