Preview of the “Games of the Future 2026” - Tier 2 tournament with a prize of one million dollars

The Dota 2 competition within the framework of the multidisciplinary phygital tournament Games of the Future 2026, which in Russian is called “Games of the Future 2026,” starts tomorrow, July 31. The format of the competition, the list of participants and the schedule of the first gaming day are in our material.

The group stage of Games of the Future 2026 will take place on July 31 and August 1. Sixteen participants are divided into four groups of four teams, where they will play a BO3 series in the GSL format (shortened “Swiss” up to two wins/losses). The group winners will advance to the quarterfinals of the playoffs, teams with a 1-1 record will start from the Desider round (1/8 finals).

The playoffs without a lower bracket will be held from August 2 to 5. There will also be a match for 3rd place. All playoff games, except the BO5 final, will be played in a best-of-3 format.

Games of the Future 2026 will be held in an offline format. The event is hosted by the Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov in Astana, Kazakhstan.
