The International 2026 schedule and results

The International 2026 for Dota 2 will take place from August 13 to 23 in Shanghai, China. The tournament will feature 16 teams competing for more than $1.6 million - the prize fund will increase as the championship progresses through the sale of caster and club bundles.

The competition will begin with the group stage. It will be held from August 13 to 16 in the Swiss system format: teams will be placed in the same standings with matches up to two wins. The top 3 squads will immediately advance to the playoffs, rosters from 4th to 13th places will play in the play-offs, and the remaining teams will leave the championship.

In the elimination round, teams with a 3:2 record will meet teams that finish the group stage with a 2:3 score. The winners will advance, the losers will leave the competition.

The playoffs will take place August 20–23. Eight teams will be placed in a double-elimination bracket. The grand final will take place up to three wins, the rest of the matches will be up to two.
