Virtus.pro offlaner Jonas 'SabeRLighT-' Volek, during an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026, spoke about his team's playing form, shared how the team copes with defeats, and also commented on the instability in the current season.

Even though we're not doing our best this year, I feel like we have a good team and good players. It seems to me that sometimes it is difficult for us to move on after defeats. It often happens that we lose an important match, and then everything goes downhill.

Coming into this tournament, we are not in the best shape, as we just lost the qualification for TI. But I believe that we can turn the situation around.

Usually when we're down, BuLba takes the lead, but I think it also depends to some extent on the situation. I try to do this myself. For example, I gather teammates for conversations under the guidance of a coach. This is useful and certainly necessary. I also think everyone should just keep in touch with others to make sure we're still on the same page and trust each other.

Stability is difficult to achieve. In my opinion, we have not yet fully reached this point. I think some people try to achieve this through concepts and perhaps strategies. BuLba is a coach who likes everything to be organized and then everyone kind of knows what's going on. Sometimes I have a little problem with that because I would say I'm an instinctive player. So I just follow my feelings, which I'm sure also contributes to instability, because if I feel the rhythm, then yes, I'm on a roll, but if I don't feel it, then I don't have any confidence to fall back on.
