Richarlison scored a 92nd-minute winner for Tottenham as they beat Chelsea 2-1 to win the Sydney Super Cup despite Kevin Danso being sent off in the second half.

The Spurs substitute pounced on a loose ball in the box after Jamie Donley's shot had ricocheted off the post, tapping it into an empty net with virtually the last kick of the game to make it four wins from four in pre-season for Roberto De Zerbi's side.

Sandro Tonali opened the scoring in the 21st minute with his first goal for Tottenham since making his £100m switch from Newcastle, but that was quickly cancelled out by Estevao's header.

Danso's red card, four minutes after coming on at the break, looked to put the game into Chelsea's control but Xabi Alonso's team failed to make the advantage count.

They had just four shots on target, the same amount as Spurs, despite the red card for their opponents. Antonin Kinsky thwarted any chance Chelsea did have, denying Joao Pedro and Estevao with two fine saves.

The winner came from a rare counter-attack by the new-look Spurs side, who defended well throughout with Andy Robertson making his first start and Jan Paul van Hecke on debut, as they battled to secure another win in pre-season.
