Many users and representatives of the esports scene approved the platform’s initiative in the comments. Valve removed general troops from CS in 2015, presumably due to its high toxicity.
If the staff returns this feature, it will appear with the start of the ninth season, which starts on August 5, as a limited test. Season 9 will also see an Elo soft reset on FACEIT. To regain the rating, gamers will have to play ten calibration matches.
Previously, professional CS2 player Ilya Perfecto Zalutsky was outraged by the players on FACEIT. He noted that players who had about 1.8 thousand Elo in CS:GO now have almost twice as many points.
