FISSURE will run the tournament in partnership with Chinese media production company GGMEDIA.

FISSURE has announced that FISSURE Playground 3 ( previously known as FISSURE Playground 5 before the cancellation of several events) has moved to Suzhou, China, a city of 12 million that lies 90 kilometers west of Shanghai and is a part of the Yangtze Delta megalopolis.

The 16-team, $1,250,000 event, which had previously been announced to take place in Shenzhen, will instead be played at Suzhou's SND Cultural and Sports Centre from September 8-13.

FISSURE also announced that it will be the first event of a long-term strategic partnership with GGMEDIA, a live media production company based in Shanghai that recently ran the BLAST Open Porto 2026 Asian qualifiers.

Future plans for the partnered companies are "to host Tier 1 tournaments in China on an annual basis, contributing to the growth of the local esports ecosystem and strengthening its connection with the global competitive scene," as stated by FISSURE .
