Gratisfaction to stand in for FlyQuest at DFRAG

A familiar face steps on for FlyQuest at a regional competition while they look for a permanent AWPer.

FlyQuest will use Sean "⁠Gratisfaction⁠" Kaiwai as a stand-in at the DFRAG HyperX Nationals, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The tournament will take place in Brisbane, Australia from July 17-19 and have approximately $7,000 on offer. Other top sides from Oceania, such as THUNDER dOWNUNDER , Rooster and Ground Zero , feature on the eight-team list.

The event will begin with a GSL-style group stage, with FlyQuest seeded atop of Group B, where they will be pitted against DXA in the first match.

FlyQuest have been down a player following the benching of João "⁠story⁠" Vieira in the off-season. The Portuguese AWPer went on to rejoin SAW shortly after to reform the core that made it to the semi-finals of IEM Cologne 2024.

As a former teammate of Justin "⁠jks⁠" Savage from Renegades and 100 Thieves , Gratisfaction steps in as a familiar face while FlyQuest look for a permanent solution.

The 30-year-old has been a free agent since June, when he departed Alter Ego .
