shalfey steps in for K27 at Stake Ranked

K27 were unable to obtain a visa for clax in time after bringing him in last week.

Aleksandr "⁠shalfey⁠" Marenov will stand in for K27 instead of Timur "⁠clax⁠" Sabirov at the Stake Ranked Episode 3 tournament next week, the organization's CEO, Ivan Kondratov, revealed on Telegram .

The announcement comes just a week after clax replaced Petr "⁠fame⁠" Bolyshev on the team upon the expiration of the latter's loan from Virtus.pro .

That, according to Kondratov, didn't leave the team with enough time to obtain the visa for clax in time for the $100,000 tournament taking place from July 15-18 in Barcelona, Spain.

"Since clax is new to our team and there was no chance of getting a visa for Stake Ranked, we'll be forced to play with a replacement," Kondratov said.

"It was important for us to find an experienced player, as well as someone with the necessary documents for EU LANs."

K27 will play the event in Barcelona with the following roster:
