M0NESY sees great potential for AWP on Cache

Team Falcons CS2 sniper Ilya m0NESY Osipov appreciated the return of Cache to the mappool of Valve’s shooter. Osipov shared his thoughts in an interview at the official broadcast of the XSE Pro League 2026.

[Question: “What do you think about Cache returning to the map pool?”] Honestly, I really like this map. But I don't really like the way teams use AWP on Cache yet. I think we can play much more aggressively. This map is great for snipers and I think the AWP on it can make a big difference.

Cache entered the official map pool of Counter-Strike 2 Season 5 Premier, replacing Overpass in it. In addition, the card has already appeared in tournaments. However, at the group stage of the XSE Pro League 2026, Cache became the most unpopular location: during the event, esports players turned to it only four times.
