MIBR kicked a player after a scandal with a joke during an official match

Representatives of the esports organization MIBR announced the departure of professional CS2 player Vitor stormzyn Yamauchi from the club’s academic staff. This happened after the team’s official match against METANOIA Wolves at Thunderpick World Championship 2026 South America Series 2. MIBR shared a post about this in X.

In one of the rounds, the eSports player made a sexually suggestive joke about a child's doll that was lying on the floor near site B on the Cache map. A wave of criticism fell on the player, after which MIBR announced that Yamauchi no longer represented the club.

The e-sportsman himself stated that he did not want to offend anyone with his actions.

Hi all! Recently, my name has been associated with a huge scandal, and today I want to tell you how I see what happened. I played in a Thunderpick elimination match. The game had already lasted almost five hours due to endless pauses and overtimes. In one of the decisive rounds I made an ace, which actually ended the match (12:9 on the last map). I was emotional, celebrated and shouted that we had broken the opponent’s economy. I was completely focused on the game and thinking about what to do next. Unfortunately, there was a doll in the middle of the map, and without realizing it, I fell for this “bait”, which is what started this whole scandal. Obviously I didn't do this because it was a doll. If there had been a dead body in her place, I would have done the same thing. If there was an AK rifle lying there, I would do a trick on a skateboard. If this was happening on Vertigo, I'd jump off the map. I would have done anything at all that could be done at that moment, simply because I was happy and celebrated the victory. I have nothing in common with the abomination that they are talking about now. I hate pedophiles more than anything in the world. I always speak out against any violence and any manifestation of prejudice without thinking for a second. It was very difficult for me to see the consequences of this story and read how many people say things about me that are not true. I can't control what people think. But in the midst of all this chaos, there is only one thing that calms me: I know that I am a good person, and I understand that in time all this will be behind me. I could not speak out earlier because I was advised not to interfere in the situation. MIBR decided to terminate the remainder of my contract due to the publicity surrounding this story and the reputational risks for major brands. These 18 months I have worked harder than ever before, tried to help everyone around me as much as possible, and will always root for my friends. I sincerely apologize to MIBR - I never could have imagined that our collaboration would end this way. I am now a free agent and will come back even stronger, with my head held high. I still have many goals and dreams ahead. And no matter how much some people want it... that's exactly what won't stop me. World.
