Valve never really wanted to get into Dota esports. She doesn't invest in it. She takes a different approach: "I'll make a great game and you'll play it." Do you understand? Valve does not invest in advertising or promote tournaments. She just made a good game. So the developers are focused on updates, on improving the game, on making it more attractive to newcomers, and so on. This is typical Valve marketing. From the point of view of esports, the main promotion tool is The International.

In fact, there is such a problem in Dota 2. I'm a professional player, and sometimes I only want to play with other professionals. And then I'm looking for a match and I come across some guy who, for example, just got home from work on a Friday night, opened a beer or vodka - depending on where he's from. And he gets into your game, takes Troll Warlord on the first pick and ruins the match for you.

In fact, there are very high ranked players who play three or four heroes. But you can’t play on just one character, he’ll simply be banned. You will play with the same people and they will know who you will take. But there is one guy, his nickname is mangekyou. He has been top 1 in the rankings for a long time, he has over 17,000 MMR, and he plays a maximum of three or four heroes. And he doesn’t have a team, because no one will say: “Let’s take this guy, he will be banned from three heroes, and this is what he will then play on?” Do you understand? So that's a problem. A pro player should expand his hero pool, he should have several characters that he plays well.
