Corrupted about TI 2026: “Conventionally, at the same EWC, when we were in Paris, we felt more of a Doter vibe”

HULIGANI offlaner Ivan 'Corrupted' German, in an interview for the OFFSTAGE youtube channel, commented on his team's performance at The International 2026, spoke about the atmosphere at the tournament, and also spoke about his friendship with Stanislav 'Malr1ne' Potorak.

I think there were more individual expectations, to perform better, but it turned out the way it turned out. There are many factors, I don’t know if people know, no, that we didn’t play a single QB at The International, because our player got sick during the flight to Beijing, carry [ssnovv1. — Approx. ed. ]. And because of this, we didn’t play a single practice, we didn’t play a single QB. He played there, roughly, five public events in five days, and then on the last day. And, one might say, they came to the games untrained. He had a fever all day.

[ In such a situation, is there any chance of finding a replacement person so that at least the rest of the team can play? ] If he were unable to play, there was already discussion of a replacement. I know that our organization wrote to 23savage asking if he could come. But if they brought him, he would play all the other games, the rest of the days, and then Ilyukha would just sit. We looked, Ilyukha said that he was more or less alive, well, they played with him.

[What about the organization in general? Do you like the hotel, the food, the atmosphere? ] To be honest, I don’t feel any kind of The International vibe. [Why is this so? ] Because we can say that everything is on the same floor. Our rooms, practically. Conventionally, at the same EWC, when we were in Paris, we felt more of a Doter vibe. Everyone rode the bus there together, you chatted with everyone, somewhere you chatted with ari, somewhere you chatted with Asians, with Yopaj. Somehow, I don’t know, there was more of a Doter vibe. Maybe tomorrow at the arena I’ll feel the Inta vibe, we’ll see.

Don't know. These games passed and were lost so quickly that... I don’t know, they just didn’t fly by. Also due to the fact that we had poor preparation, it somehow didn’t feel like we were putting up much of a fight. So I don’t rate the games very well, to put it mildly.

[ How does support come about? How do you mostly communicate? ] Well, we communicate, write to each other, chat on [social network], I don’t know. And the moment when, conditionally, I sat without a team and was of no use to anyone, and Ammar [ATF. — Approx. ed. ] couldn’t play in the DreamLeague... If it weren’t for Stas [Malr1ne. — Approx. ed. ], I don’t think I would stand in Team Falcons, you know. And after this stand, I was called to the “League,” one might say.

[How was your experience playing for Team Falcons? ] Very cool. It’s very easy to play with players like Cr1t-, like Stas, I don’t know, like skiter. They just do their job, and it's a thousand times easier for you to play.

HULIGANI did not win a single match in the group stage of The International 2026 and finished the tournament in last place in the standings.
