PlayTime received a technical defeat in the match against Vici Gaming at EWC 2026

The organizers of the Esports World Cup 2026 for Dota 2 awarded PlayTime a technical defeat in the play-off match against Vici Gaming. Information about this appeared in the official document of the tournament.

Vici Gaming advanced to the next round, where they will play with 1w Team for a place in the playoffs. PlayTime finished its performance at the championship in 13-16th place.

Initially, the match between the teams was supposed to take place on July 14, but it was postponed due to suspicions of match-fixing on the part of some participants. Later it became known that we are talking about the mid-player of PlayTime Gonzalo DarkMago Herrera and the coach of the team Juan David Vintage Angulo Nicho. ESIC representatives temporarily suspended them from the competition and clarified that the final decision on sanctions will be made after the completion of the proceedings.
