Puppey: “I would say 1win Team is the best team”

PARIVISION coach Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov, in a video blog for the club's YouTube channel, assessed his team's playing form, shared his opinion about such a team as 1win Team, and also recalled the tournaments of the Beyond the Summit series.

The team is in good shape. Everyone is trying really hard now. Well, that’s understandable, it’s a good tournament too, a big tournament. Everyone seems to be playing somewhere around 8-9 now. Understanding how to win a game may not be there yet... If we get to the point where we all understand very well how to win a game, then everyone will have a 10. Because everyone is already very good at skill. They click well, they click well, they do all the little tricks well. We are now trying to do this so that we understand very clearly what to do on the map every second.

Now we just played clan wars today, on break day, and everything is going very well for us. We won them, clearly won them. So now it seems that we are reaching 100% skill.

Sometimes it happens that if it’s, say, the last game and we did something wrong or something like that, we need to discuss it more in a clear atmosphere, and not just when we lost. Go to a bootcamp or a practice room, where we will look clearly at where and what we did wrong, and how to discuss it rationally. But it happens that we just lost, and we still have to play the next game. Sometimes this can be an emotional conversation, but it doesn't happen often. But sometimes these things happen. I try not to do it in any way, because it’s better to talk after a whole match. Because it's too hard to discuss things and be like diamonds in the next game. If we play for 5, and the maximum is 10, then no conversation will make us 10.

I would say 1win Team is the best team. They may not win this tournament, but before we came here for the tournament, we played a couple of QBs. And they showed Dota very strong. They came up with a lot of things that we see now. Dark Seer, Earth Spirit - all these things they showed us how strong they are. We knew these heroes were strong, but we didn't know they were that good. Really, they showed us many things. It may be a failure that they did it, but we learned, let's say.

People want a tournament where we are very casual. We come to some house and play. They tried to make BetBoom Dacha, but I feel that it was impossible to do it so well there. There were such tournaments in America called Beyond the Summit. There are people sitting on the couch [sofa. — Approx. ed. ], sometimes they cast people, they come, they talk, they eat there, you can see it all the time - it’s like reality TV, let’s put it that way. I know people want it, but it's not happening right now. BetBoom Dacha tried it, but it was too, let's say, commercial. This is not a flame, this is because they wanted to show this tournament very clearly. The problem with this is that usually these tournaments have to be kind of *** [bad] a little bit so that the atmosphere is natural.

PARIVISION defeated Team Yandex with a score of 2-1 and advanced to the finals of the Esports World Cup 2026, where it will meet BetBoom Team.
