arT to return for Thunderpick World Championship

After a brief one-tournament absence with meningitis, arT is ready to return to the server.

Legacy have announced that Andrei "arT" Piovezan has been discharged from hospital following his bout of meningitis and will return to the team's lineup for their next event, Thunderpick World Championship.

The Brazilian IGL missed Legacy 's recent ESL Pro League campaign after his illness was announced mere days before the event, Legacy finding themselves eliminated in the group stage after playing with Pedro "bobz" Rocha as a stand-in.

"After responding well to treatment, arT has been discharged from the hospital and is already at home," Legacy 's post to X read. "We thank everyone who sent messages, showed concern, and cheered for our player's recovery during this time."

The news is a boon to a Legacy side that were firmly in the ascendancy prior to arT 's brief absence, rising to second in the VRS global rankings following a third-place finish at Esports World Cup and a trophy-winning campaign at FISSURE Playground 3.

The squad will now find themselves among the favorites for the title at Thunderpick World Championship, which kicks off October 14 and features Falcons , FURIA and Aurora as the other top-10 squads in attendance.
