The Esports World Cup was recently relocated from Riyadh to Paris The Esports Foundation, the host of the Esports Nations Cup, has announced that the tournament will be postponed until November 2027 "following ongoing assessment of the wider regional situation."

The event was originally scheduled for November 10-15 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but has been delayed as a result of the "uncertainty created by the wider regional situation."

This announcement comes after Esports World Cup 2026, which was also due to be hosted in Riyadh, was relocated to Paris following the ongoing conflict in Iran.

"The response from National Team Partners, publishers, players and communities around the world has shown us how much potential this competition has. We owe them an inaugural ENC delivered under the right conditions."

In the announcement it was said that stakeholders would be contacted over the coming weeks "to provide clarity on the revised competition calendar, qualification pathways and other implications of the new timeline," suggesting a new qualification process would take place for the rescheduled event.
