ESL Pro League S24 playoffs return to Spodek Arena

Counter-Strike returns to Spodek Arena for the ESL Pro League Season 24 playoffs, marking the venue’s first hosting of the game in more than a year. The tournament’s decisive stage opens with Aurora meeting 1win in the first match of the playoff schedule.

Aurora enter the series after an impressive group-stage campaign that included victories over Spirit, G2, and Legacy. Those results have already placed the team in a strong position for a Major invite, and another playoff win would further reinforce that standing.

The opening matchup will also put the spotlight on Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov and his teammates. Aurora will look to carry their group-stage consistency into the arena, while 1win begin the playoffs with the task of stopping a team that has already handled several prominent opponents.

ColdMath take

Aurora’s opening playoff series is an opportunity to consolidate its Major invite position. The result will also show whether the team can maintain its group-stage level against 1win in the arena.

A win would give Aurora a stronger start to the decisive stage; 1win must immediately adjust to the pressure of facing a well-performing opponent.
