After coming through the Last Chance Qualifier, K27 leave the main tournament in joint-last place.
K27 have been eliminated from the Esports World Cup following back-to-back losses in the group stage, struggling to compete with just one round across two T sides in a 0-2 series against MIBR .
The Russian side leaves the main tournament in joint-last place, unable to build on its success in the Last Chance Qualifier, where they beat the likes of SAW and fnatic on the way to the main event.
They headed into today's match against MIBR handicapped, as their coach, Gregory "balblna" Oleinick , had to leave the Schengen zone on the previous day upon expiry of his visa.
Without his input, K27 could not find a way out of their T side ruts as they could only put up one round in a whole half of Cache, leaving themselves too little space in a respectable attempt of a CT-side comeback, and then went 0-6 in the closing of Nuke on the offensive side as well.
But it was also several clutches that swayed the game heavily in MIBR 's favor. Carlos "venomzera" Eduardo 's two 1v3 clutches across the two maps and a 1v2 from Lucas "nqz" Soares kept the Brazilian-majority side well in control of the series.
MIBR now move on to the deciding match, in which they will face against a familiar opponent in Legacy for a spot in the playoffs.
