MistR leaves Sashi after failed Asia VRS switch
Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen and Sashi have mutually ended their cooperation after the team’s regional-switch attempt collapsed.

Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen has mutually parted ways with Sashi, ending his spell with the Danish Counter-Strike 2 team. The decision follows Sashi’s attempt to move into the Asia VRS region, a plan that quickly became the centre of a wider rules dispute.
Sashi recently benched MistR and Casper “Cabbi” Jensen, replacing them with Australians Tynan “TjP” Purtell and Jordan “Hatz” Bajic on short-term contracts. The move was intended to give Sashi a route into the Asia VRS region and improve its chances of reaching the PGL Major Singapore later this year.
Valve changed the Major Supplemental Rulebook the following day, blocking the regional switch. As a result, Sashi was removed from contention for the Major, bringing the short-lived roster strategy to an immediate end.
MistR thanked Sashi, his coaches and teammates, while describing the past few days as difficult. He is now expected to join BBL, which entered CS2 in August by signing the Echo roster. The reported move would give the Dane a new team after Sashi’s disrupted campaign.
ColdMath take
MistR is set to leave Sashi after the team lost its Major path. A move to BBL would place him in a new project following the collapse of Sashi’s Asia VRS plan.
Sashi must now reassess its lineup and competitive route after Valve’s rule change blocked the regional switch and ended its Major hopes.
Pick an outcome. Trade it beside the story.
