The Russian squad worked to bring back a 10-2 deficit on the second map of the series, but were shut down in the 23rd round.
MOUZ are through to the Esports World Cup playoffs after a convincing series against PARIVISION in the Group C lower bracket semi-final. The Russian squad had no chance on their Dust2 pick and were then denied the comeback after a poor CT side on Inferno.
MOUZ started Dust2 on the CT side, and it was the veterans Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás and Lotan "Spinx" Giladi leading the way in the stats department in the 9-3 half, after which Dorian "xertioN" Berman made his impact on the attack to help his team close it out 13-4.
torzsi wins 1v1 to keep the MOUZ rolling ahead on Inferno
Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen 's men did not skip a beat on Inferno, this time starting on the attack, as they went on to put up double digits in a dominating display of force. PARIVISION stopped the bleeding after the switch, winning the pistol round, and slowly but surely started to claw their way back.
It took some heroics, including Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev denying xertioN what could have been a game-winning clutch in the 22nd round, but ultimately the gap was too big to bridge, and MOUZ brought the map and series to a close, 13-10.
