CS2 Update Cuts AUG Reload Time by Half a Second
Valve’s October 9 CS2 update shortens AUG reloads, improves stability and fixes several audio, map and demo issues.

Valve released a small Counter-Strike 2 update overnight on October 9. The patch shortens the AUG’s reload time by 0.5 seconds and includes several technical improvements aimed at making the game more stable.
The update adds an icon for a ping marking a dropped defuse kit. It also corrects the sound played during a concealed Desert Eagle reload and removes a bug that could create a humming background noise while watching demos.
Valve further addressed geometry problems on maps used in Rush mode and refreshed the game’s localization. The changes follow earlier fixes for reload-related issues and other Rush mode bugs, as well as the option to hide clan tags on community servers.
ColdMath take
The AUG becomes slightly quicker to cycle back into action, while the stability and audio fixes should make routine play and demo review more consistent.
Players competing in Rush maps can also expect fewer visual issues after the geometry corrections.
Pick an outcome. Trade it beside the story.
