PARIVISION 's CEO, Andrii "Kimi" Kvasnevskyi, shared some insight into the recent Cologne Major sticker sales in a season recap video posted by the organization, stating that "the new system hurt us a lot financially."
In July, reported that sticker sales from Cologne were almost five times less than the StarLadder Budapest Major, after which Valve released new ranked stickers with static pricing rather than the dynamic pricing used for the initial release.
"The numbers were far from what we expected," Kvasnevskyi said. "We got three times more from the first stage in Budapest than what we got for the third stage . The Major is a massive opportunity for the marketing team; the Major results let everyone down."
