A new tournament in the BETBOOM Streamers Battle series for Dota 2 has been announced. The competition will take place from July 27 to August 2, during which eight media teams will compete for a prize fund of 4 million rubles.
The group stage of BETBOOM Streamers Battle Dota 14 will be played using the Round Robin system. Based on its results, the six strongest teams will continue to fight in the playoffs. The champion will be determined in the Double Elimination bracket.
BETBOOM Streamers Battle Dota 14 retains key mechanics first used at the previous tournament in the discipline. Matches will once again be played in Captain’s draft + Fearless Draft mode: teams will not be able to choose heroes that they have already used earlier in the series. Each map will be played with a new character pool, which has also been expanded from 28 to 36 heroes.
The BSB rating system continues to operate, but has been updated taking into account the results of the previous Dota 2 tournament. The rating of each participant is formed on the basis of revaluation based on the results of the previous tournament, as well as decisions of the expert and captain’s commissions. If necessary, the organizers or team captains can initiate a review of the rating of an individual player. The total BSB rating limit for each team is 315 points. One of the changes in BETBOOM Streamers Battle Dota 14 was the removal of the mid lane restriction.
