Rune Eaters Esports midlaner Philipp 'Copy' Bühler, in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026, spoke about the team's progress, preparation for the tournament and in what aspects the team became stronger during the competition.

Obviously it's good to see you getting better. I think we had a good chance against all the teams in our group. This tournament is now the most important for us, because we failed to qualify for The International 2026. That's why we've put our entire game, focus and effort squarely on EWC 2026.

I think a lot has to do with how we act after the laning stage. The period from the 10th to the 20th minute is probably the most important part of the game now. It is at this moment that you can most often see the difference between really strong teams and average teams.

We pay a lot of attention to the map movements of the top teams, trying to copy some of their game patterns and understand why they make certain decisions. I think we continue to get better every day. After every training session and every official match, we draw conclusions that help us progress.
