Dyrachyo questions Ame’s approach to professional practice
Former Dota 2 pro Dyrachyo said Xtreme Gaming had cancelled practice games because of Ame’s personal circumstances.

Streamer and former professional Dota 2 player Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov discussed Xtreme Gaming carry Wang “Ame” Chunyu during a livestream. Shkredov said the Chinese team had sometimes been forced to cancel practice games because of the player’s circumstances.
He explained that professional rosters usually have limited rest before a LAN tournament. Teams may play four to six scrims a day, review replays when needed and adjust the workload depending on their schedule. In some cases, teams play three days with six practice matches and two more days with four.
Danil “gpK~” Skutin suggested that six practice games can already leave players wanting to cancel one or two. Shkredov then used Ame as an example, asking whether Xtreme Gaming cancelled scrims when the carry had a headache or had not eaten. Ahilles added that the entire group once waited half an hour for Ame to finish lunch.
Earlier, Shkredov also assessed Skutin’s potential, saying that stronger English would have helped him join a top-tier roster and show his ability more fully. The remark was separate from his comments about Xtreme Gaming’s training routine.
ColdMath take
The comments highlight how individual routines can affect a team’s practice schedule. Xtreme Gaming’s preparation may depend not only on planned workloads but also on Ame’s availability before upcoming matches.
For the roster, consistent practice remains important, while managing player readiness can determine how much of the planned training is completed.
