MiLAN Explains Team Spirit’s Outworld Destroyer Pick for Yatoro
Team Spirit’s MiLAN said the Outworld Destroyer pick was a team experiment and addressed Illidan’s absence from BLAST SLAM VIII.

Team Spirit coach Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara discussed the decision to put Outworld Destroyer in the carry role for the second game against Aurora Gaming at BLAST SLAM VIII. He said the choice came from a shared team concept, with the squad looking for an approach that could work in the current patch.
Kozomara added that Illidan is widely regarded as a legendary Outworld Destroyer player, which influenced the experiment. Team Spirit had practiced the hero to some extent, although the preparation and the eventual result did not go as planned.
Illidan was unable to attend the tournament because of visa problems. MiLAN said the coach has remained in regular contact with the team and continues to contribute substantial work remotely. He also noted that the patch has changed the carry role while leaving most other heroes largely unchanged, encouraging Team Spirit to explore different ideas.
ColdMath take
The experiment did not deliver the desired result, but Team Spirit is actively testing carry options shaped by the new patch. Illidan’s remote involvement remains an important part of the team’s preparation for upcoming matches.
