LGD coach believes that Topson single-handedly carried the team to TI15

LGD Gaming's Dota 2 coach Igor kaffs Furtado summed up the team's performance at The International 2026. Furtado shared his thoughts in a post published in X.

A very bad season. But we ourselves are largely to blame, because we often create problems for ourselves. I'm disappointed. We're screwed. I think as the year went on, we created unnecessary situations too often that made things much more difficult than they should have been. Of course, Heroic giving up on us and the TaiLung situation didn't help either, but I'm trying to focus on what was in my control. I'm glad that we were at least able to get to TI this year and get a chance to show ourselves. This tournament is truly special, especially since it is taking place in China. Speaking about me personally, it really hurts me to see how everything that I have built over the past three seasons is gradually crumbling right before my eyes. We were so close... To all the fans who expected more from us, I want to express my sincere apologies. And many thanks to LGD Gaming for believing in our team and going through all this turbulence with us. And also Topson for almost single-handedly getting us into the playoffs. I don’t know what awaits us next, because now the situation is not in my hands. But the dream continues...

LGD Gaming lost to Team Yandex in the play-off match of The International 2026 in Dota 2. The meeting ended with a score of 1:2. Before the start of the tournament, Topias Topson Taavitsainen joined Furtado's team after PGL suspended Santiago TaiLung Aguero Gustavo from the tournament and banned the e-sportsman for life from its events. As a result, LGD took 9-13th place in the tournament.
