Liverpool begin bombshell talks to sign Kylian Mbappe for insane fee as Real Madrid star exit plans revealed
Liverpool have reportedly reignited their interest in Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe amid reports he will leave the Bernabeu next year.

Liverpool have reportedly reignited their interest in Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe amid reports he will leave the Bernabeu next year.
In just a few weeks, Mbappe will be waiting with bated breath as the winner of the 2026 Ballon d'Or is confirmed at the 70th ceremony in the London Palladium Theatre.
But that's not the only reason the Frenchman is making headlines as it has now emerged that he could be set to depart Real Madrid in 2027, with Liverpool currently in talks to make a move that would completely shatter the Premier League transfer record.
Liverpool named as Kylian Mbappe's 'priority' as talks with representatives begin
Mbappe , who enjoyed a fantastic World Cup with France this summer, is likely to be right at the top of the Ballon d'Or rankings this year.
This season, the Real Madrid striker has continued his summer form with eight goals in eight appearances across both La Liga and the Champions League.
Despite this, Spanish journalist Francois Gallardo has claimed that Mbappe is 'angry and disappointed' with Real Madrid has already decided that he will leave the club as early as next summer.
Posting on X, he claimed: "Kylian Mbappé is angry and disappointed with Real Madrid.
"He has made the decision to leave the club in the summer of 2027, and Real Madrid is not going to stand in his way.
"His next destination is in the Premier League."
Seemingly confident in his claim, he added: "Boom! And if not, prove me wrong."
Should Mbappe leave Real Madrid next year there will no doubt be a long line of suitors eager to secure his signature, but Gallardo has revealed that Liverpool remain the 27-year-old's priority, having previously come close to making a move to Anfield back in 2016.
“Several Premier League teams are interested in Kylian Mbappe, but the player’s priority is Liverpool,” Gallardo told Defensa Central .
“They have already contacted [Mbappe's mother and representative] Fayza Lamari in recent weeks.”
Given wide reports that Mbappe's mother 'fell in love' with Liverpool back in 2016, it comes as no surprise that she may be the Merseyside club's first point of contact in an attempt to reignite the move.
Real Madrid set Kylian Mbappe price tag as Liverpool open talks
Should Liverpool convince Mbappe to finally make the move to Anfield, it's not going to be cheap.
And despite Gallardo's claim that Real Madrid wouldn't stand in the way of his exit next summer, Defensa Central claimed that it would need to be a huge number to convince the Spanish giants to let their star man go.
In their report, Defensa Central added: 'Real Madrid have no intention of letting go of one of the most important players in their squad, and any negotiation would have to reach extraordinary figures'.
According to Gallardo, this fee would reach around €200-250million (£174m–£218m.)
With Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Bradley Barcola, Florian Wirtz, Cody Gakpo, Victor Munoz and Rio Ngumoha all making up Liverpool's attacking depth as it stands, it seems unlikely that the club would splash such a huge amount on another star attacker.
But, any club offered a chance to sign one of the best players in the world would be silly not to consider doing so, and it appears that's exactly what Liverpool are doing.
Pick an outcome. Trade it beside the story.
