Groove spoke out after 1w Team's elimination from ESL Pro League Season 24

1w Team CS2 coach Konstantin Groove Pikiner spoke out after being eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 24. Pikiner shared his thoughts in an interview on the official broadcast after the match against Aurora Gaming.

[Question: "Groove, I know it's hard to talk at a time like this, so thank you for agreeing to the interview. Let's start with Anubis. You had a very rough start offensively. What went wrong?"] I think we lost some very important rounds at key moments. It seems like we lost two or three times in one-on-one clutches. To be honest, Aurora is one of the best teams on Anubis. However, I cannot say that this card is one of our strong ones. We understood: if we want to win this match, we need to take Dust2. [Question: “On Dust2, things weren’t going in your favor either. You were down 4:8 after the first half, then you started to get back into the game, but then you lost the round to your opponent with Desert Eagle. How much did that disrupt the team’s momentum?”] It seems to me that the problems on Dust2 started even earlier. We won the first round on attack, but then ran into technical problems early in the next round and ended up losing the next round. It seems to me that in a normal situation the score could have become 3:0 in our favor, but instead we got 1:3, no longer in our favor. But overall, you're absolutely right. When you have such a difficult score situation, you can’t give away such rounds. We made a mistake, we couldn’t properly retake point A. I think this was one of our main mistakes on Dust2.

Groove also addressed all fans.

I would like to thank all our fans. Yes, we are a completely new team - we have only existed for two months. This is nothing at all. But at the same time, we already have a huge community that supports us. I want to thank our families, friends, fans, our colleagues from the club - in general, everyone who supported us and believed in the team until the very end.
