Kyxsan: Aurora advanced after a demanding 2–0 win over 1w Team
Aurora Gaming defeated 1w Team 2–0 at ESL Pro League Season 24 and reached the semifinals in Katowice.

Aurora Gaming captain Damjan “Kyxsan” Stoilkovski assessed his team’s opening arena match at ESL Pro League Season 24 after a 2–0 quarterfinal victory over 1w Team. He said the result was positive, while acknowledging that Aurora looked nervous and did not produce its best performance despite securing the series.
Aurora took Dust2 13:9 before closing Anubis 13:8. Kyxsan noted that playing as the expected winner brings additional pressure, since the team itself anticipates victory. He added that a stronger opponent could create a different dynamic, with more responsibility placed on the other side.
Aurora will meet Team Vitality or PARIVISION in the semifinal. The tournament is being held in Katowice, Poland, from October 3 to 11, with teams competing for a $1 million prize pool. Kyxsan described Vitality as the world’s best team and expected that matchup to remain extremely difficult.
ColdMath take
Aurora moves into the semifinal with a clean 2–0 result, but Kyxsan’s comments point to room for improvement before facing Vitality or PARIVISION. The next match will test whether the team can manage pressure more confidently against a stronger opponent.
