Maden takes over as BIG Academy’s in-game leader
Pavle “Maden” Bošković joins BIG Academy after choosing in-game leadership as the next stage of his career.
BIG have signed Pavle “Maden” Bošković for their academy roster. The 27-year-old Montenegrin is moving into in-game leadership after previously indicating in May that he was considering a change of direction. His last contract ended with fnatic, where he was benched in March before becoming a free agent the following month. He later made a brief appearance with the illwill mix team before the summer break.
The academy side has also reinforced its leadership structure with former Young Ninjas coach Daniel “sprayxd” Kogan, who replaces Timo “Spiidi” Richter. Richter left the position to concentrate on his academic path. BIG said Maden wants to develop as a captain, work with younger players and build a team from the beginning, while the organization will provide the support needed for that transition.
Maden will lead 16-year-old Nikolas “Hrdina” Hutira, 19-year-old Anton “doni” Savienkov, 20-year-old Asim “aZe” Khodzhaev and David “prosus” Hesse. Prosus has moved between BIG’s main roster and academy twice since 2023. The complete lineup is coached by sprayxd, with Maden joining as the team’s new in-game leader.
ColdMath take
BIG Academy gains an experienced former ENCE and Falcons player as its on-server leader. The immediate focus will be developing a young roster while Maden adjusts to calling.
The squad’s next matches will show how quickly the new structure translates into coordinated play.
