The coach of the G2 Esports CS2 roster, Eetu sAw Sakha, spoke about Artyom r1nkle Moroz, who became the team’s new sniper. In an interview with .org, Saha explained the reason for replacing Alvaro with SunPayus Garcia.
[Question: “I wanted to ask about the off-season and the decisions you made during this period. First of all, moving SunPayus to the bench. What was behind this decision and why did you want to make changes to the roster?”] When it comes to such changes in the roster, there are always several reasons. It doesn’t happen that just one factor decides everything. I think for the entire time that I have been in G2, we have shown approximately the same level. We weren't able to achieve exactly what we wanted. And at some point, with SunPayus on the roster, we started asking questions: “Will we become stronger with this roster? Or should we change something? What will the future of the team be? What is the potential of this roster?” This is exactly the situation we considered. Of course, we went through the roster and discussed each player: what we need to think about, what we can change and what the potential of the team could be. I really think SunPayus is a good player. We know very well what he can give to the team, what he can give with his voice, and we also know that he had certain problems adapting to CS2 and everything else. I think he can still contribute to the right team. But we wanted something more aggressive, because we already have other players who act a little more passively and are not always ready to completely sacrifice themselves for the sake of the team. It's not that a sniper has to sacrifice himself, but when you have an avaper like r1nkle who can play more aggressively, make contact more often, take up space for the team and get the first kills, it can bring something new to the game.
In addition, Saha discussed the potential of r1nkle.
[Question: “So you see in him the potential to take the team to the next level?”] I think he really has that potential. As a sniper, he can take his game to the next level and win cards on his own from time to time. It will most likely be unstable for some time. It will take time for him to get used to us, for us to get used to him, and also to integrate him into the system and adapt it to such an aggressive sniper. But he is a young and aggressive avaper with excellent mechanics, who also knows how to play with rifles, and is comfortable with pistols and other weapons. In some ways he can become a more versatile player.
On June 25, G2 Esports transferred SunPayus to the reserve. Instead, the club signed r1nkle, who had previously represented Ninjas in Pajamas, but was benched in April 2026. Moroz's debut took place at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026. The team took 9-16th place, and the sniper performed with statistics of 0.91.
