bzm: 1w Team are working to recover before the BLAST Slam VIII lower bracket

1w Team midlaner Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov says the Dota 2 squad is showing a stronger level than at its previous tournament. He believes BLAST events suit the team particularly well and hopes that this edition will develop more favorably for the roster.

The team has spent time addressing its poor form, according to bzm. He added that similar work previously led to progress, giving 1w Team reason to expect improved results after several quieter months. His comments came as the squad competes at BLAST Slam VIII.

At PGL Wallachia Season 9, 1w Team played without Ivan “Pure~” Moskalenko, with Injii “Shad” Lyub stepping in. The team failed to win a playoff series and finished seventh-eighth. At BLAST Slam VIII, 1w Team opened the playoffs with a loss to Aurora Gaming and will face PARIVISION next in the lower bracket.

ColdMath take

The lower-bracket match against PARIVISION is 1w Team’s next opportunity to turn its stated progress into a playoff win. The team must avoid another early elimination after its 7th-8th-place finish at PGL Wallachia Season 9.
